We've been building porches and stoops in Kansas City for three generations. Whether you need a small entry stoop or a full wraparound porch, our crews know how to do it right. We pour concrete that stays level and handles the weather.
Most porch problems start underground. Poor soil compaction leads to settling. Inadequate drainage causes frost heave. Thin pours crack under stress. We address all of these issues before we pour a single yard of concrete.
Our process includes removing unstable soil, adding proper base material, and compacting everything thoroughly. For steps, we use solid pours—not hollow blocks that collect water and crack apart.
A porch doesn't have to be plain gray concrete. We offer stamped patterns that look like brick, stone, or tile. Colored concrete lets you match your home's exterior. Exposed aggregate adds texture and character. Whatever look you're going for, we can make it happen.
Concrete steps need to be poured correctly or they won't last. Each step should be the same height—uneven steps are a tripping hazard. The treads need enough pitch to drain water. Edges need to be finished properly so they don't chip.
We've replaced plenty of poorly built steps over the years. Usually, the problem is the same: someone tried to save money by cutting corners. We build them right from the start.
